Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani

Written by Anurag Bhateja on November 6, 2009 – 2:38 pm -

Well well, what should I say! This boy Ranbir is not letting down from last three movies! First Bachna Ae Hasino, then Wake Up Sid and now this awesome funny love story Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani. Katrina Kaif is no doubt one of the most beautiful and charming girls in Indian Film industry but in this movie I shall give whole credit to the young and energetic Ranbir.

The story is all about a group of five boys who run a club named Happy Club. They are famous for “kidnapping” girls so that they can get these girls to marry with their lovers. A social cause you know! During an act like this, Prem (Ranbir) saw Jenny a.k.a. Jennifer (Katrina Kaif).

The whole story moves around the fact how Prem tries to impress Jenny and how by interval the whole story take a turn when Jenny declares that she loves someone else. Prem being a happy good boy, helped her in this also but in end, the story takes another turn which you have to see in theater.

I must say the roles of Shankar (Darshan Jariwala) and Shalini(Smita jaykar), mother and father of Prem, are also very impressive. Upen Patel as always is bad! Nothing new in him except over done muscles. The gang of Prem is quite funny and in end the fight sequence is nothing more than a fun shoot in which Prem got beaten by Jenny (lol funny scenes).

Now stop reading all these reviews, buy tickets, go and watch movie in theater. Stop piracy.

And yes! Songs are pretty good. Especially “Aa Jao Meri Tamanna”.

Movie Review – Final Destination 4 – Death Trip

Written by Anurag Bhateja on September 4, 2009 – 9:34 pm -

Lets see… what you need to check before going to see the movie. First, you are not a heart patient, secondly that the person you are going with is a total freak when s/he watches a movie full of scenes that can bring your heart in mouth. Why? Because it will be fun watching him/her screaming on every next scene but make sure s/he do not faints. LOLz.

Okay, I think I have hyped it a little higher but note it down that after watching the movie (especially in theater), you will enjoy every scary scene of the movie. The movie is on the same plot as its earlier three versions but the visual effects are MIND BLOWING. I was like why the hell I am here and watching such disgusting scenes and thats totally alone, I mean theater was full but I was not with any friend.

The movie starts with a race course in which the “hero” (Bobby) saw the future and saves his friends along with a freaky racist, a guard and a lady with her two sons.

But as old movies run like, the death make a sequence and everyone got killed one by one. The most freaking scenes included internal organs of a friend of Bobby (Hunt played by Nick Zano) got sucked by swimming pools sucking machine from his “A**” and the “dreams” of the guy.

I do not understand how a person can write such a script and how those visual effect artists can give the scenes so much reality. To enjoy and experience the movie you need to spend some money and I can promise that you won’t regret it until you hate thrillers and horror movies. Avoid piracy and enjoy movie in theater.

Enjoy!!

For me 4.5/5 ;)

8×10 Tasveer Review

Written by Anurag Bhateja on April 8, 2009 – 4:45 pm -

8×10 Tasveer, starring Akshay Kumar, Ayesha Takia, Shamila Tagore, Javed Jaffery, is a good must watch thriller film by Nagesh Kukunoor. When I entered theater with Kaustabh, I realized I made it on time atlast!!

Anyway, from the very starting the movie runs in a good pace. If you enjoy thriller, you can not manage to miss a single second. The story is mainly based on super natural power which Akshay Kumar is having from the very beginning of his life. He can go in picture and see what exactly happened with the person who is in the photograph.

After a while, Akshay’s father died in an accident and after this he tried to prove that this was an accident because a private detective, Happi (Javed Jaffery) convinced him that this was an accident. The story has really good turns and is watchable once or if you really like twice.

The cast and crew is as follows:

Akshay Kumar    …    Jai Puri
Ayesha Takia    …    Sheela Patel
Sharmila Tagore    …    Savitri Puri
Javed Jaffrey    …    Happi
Girish Karnad    …    Anil Sharma
Anant Mahadevan    …    Sundar Puri
Benjamin Gilani    …    Jatin Puri
Rushad Rana    …    Adit
Utara Pawkar    …

Nagesh Kukunoor    …    Director
Shailendra Singh    …    Producer
Tulsi Kumar    …    Singer
Vishal Dadlani    …    Singer
Neeraj Shridhar    …    Singer
Mohit Chouhan    …    Singer
Bohemia Suburbana    …    Singer
Bohemia Suburbana    …    Music Director
Sulaiman Merchant    …    Music Director
Neeraj Shridhar    …    Music Director
Salim Merchant    …    Music Director
Bohemia Suburbana    …    Lyricist
Irfan Siddique    …    Lyricist
Sameer    …    Lyricist
Nagesh Kukunoor    …    Story/Writer
Elahe Hiptoola    …    Executie Producer / Co-Producer

From my side I will give 3/5 stars :).
