WALL E –Movie Review “A Romantic Robotic Love Story”
Written by Anurag Bhateja on August 29, 2008 – 11:12 pm -
My Rating: ****/***** (4/5)
Have you ever thought if last Human on earth forgot to switch off the robot before leaving Earth? That’s what happens in Pixar’s latest movie WALL-E. Wall E is basically “Waste Allocation Load-Lifter Earth-Class”. Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo) is the director of the movie.
Now lets come to MY REVIEW. This time again, unfortunately, I missed the first 4 minutes of the movie but anyway, after settling down in the hall, I saw WALL!!! hehe… thing WALL E is a cute little robot with human emotions which were I think because of the “scratchy videotape of the 1969 Hollywood version of Hello, Dolly!” which he keeps on playing on daily basis. The robot has a COCKROACH!! yes cockroach as his PET! wow what a story! think of a robot living on “no life” earth from last 700 years and have a small bug as a pet!
There is a daily routine of Wall E is to go out, get scrap, make box shaped thing of it and collect some unthoughtful collectibles which he keeps in a revolving cup board in his home (A truck). One day a spaceship landed on earth from which a frictionless white pod robot came out named EVE (Extra-terrestrial Vegetation Evaluator). While trying to come near to eve, wall-e has tried all things which a boy can do to come near to a girl! He gifted stuff, tried to get her hand in his hand and gifted his most precious thing, i.e. a plant to her which according to Wall-E, I think, made her mad and she took it and got herself switched off. WALL-E tried everything to get her “Turn On” but it was of no use.
After few months the spaceship came back and took eve and Wall-E (accidentally) with it. Then the whole game begins of chasing EVE in the mother ship and running in and out. I am not going to tell whole story as I want you all to go and watch the fun. Its a small animation movie which you can go and see with your friends/girl friend(s)/family and enjoy it!
The main thing you will learn is you can not run far from mother nature, you have to come back, love is always here right here on Mother Earth and living here and making it a living place is your responsibility, our responsibitly.

Phoonk
Written by Anurag Bhateja on August 24, 2008 – 2:16 am -
Once again Ram Gopal Verma dared… I am again spotting it, DARED to experiment with the fear! The movie Phoonk released on 22nd Aug 2008 has proved how good Ramu is making people think what could an ordinary object can do. I am saying this because in the whole movie after every instance the camera is focused on something which has litterally no relevance!! Ok.. that was a taunt but it gave a different feel to the movie.
I will not say anything about the story as it was all same old stories of black magic, people using bones and lemon for doing it and all but the thing which make this movie different and watchable is the comments of the people around you and theater if you love to watch it sitting calm and quite and don’t want to comment on any scene.
Let me share the whole 2 hours of the movie with you. As I reached the theater I was in deep anger with the “Late latifi” of a very good friend of mine “Nishkam” but anyway, I will not blame him for that day as he got hit with some car. God’s grace he was alright. Anyway, we entered the theater after 8 minutes of loss of a small 2 hour movie. We managed to get the seats in a minute or so and then the games begins. The girls sitting next to me were like chatterbox and kept of chit-chit in the whole 1 hour till the Interval came after which Nishkam switched the seats with me. Anyway, I am not here to tell you that all but to tell you about the movie. The actors of the movie have done a great job especially Ahsaas who played Raksha, the small girl in the movie.Sudeep and Amruta who played husband and wife in the movie are also good as actor. Another character who really impressed me was Mani played by Javed Rizvi who came in end and rescued the child from Black magic. Role of Madhu played by Ashwini Khalsekar is MIND BLOWING as I have seen her work on TV and movies and she is as always as perfect for all kind of roles. Kenny Desai (Anshuman) have very small role and you can say it was a kind of injustice with the boy as he was not able to show his skills in the movie. The expressions, dialogue delivery, work everything was perfect in case of Ahsaas!
You can only enjoy the chit chat but not the movie. From my side I can only give 1/5 to the movie but if you want to enjoy with your friends and want to make fun of Ramu you can always go there and watch it but in theater as PIRACY IS ILLEGAL.
So watch, laugh and enjoy the group watch as DARNA MANA HAI NA!!!

Race — Abbas Mustan Did it again
Written by Anurag Bhateja on March 26, 2008 – 7:10 pm -
If anyone of you have not seen the movie yet then pack yourself and watch the ultimate release of this year.. The Movie RACE by Abbas Mustan. I really don’t know what we should expect from Abbas Mustan now. The movie race is so unpredictable that after every scene you again have to open your eyes and think of the whole background of the movie again so that you can understand the movie perfectly.
I must appreciate the effort of the writer Shiraz Ahmed who have created such a thrilling story! The story moves just like “Jalebi” and whenever I thought yes now I can guess the movie right, the whole scenario gets changed an a new arrow gets out of the movie’s bow. Music director Pritam, as known for his good music have done perfect justice with the movie.
I am not going to say anything about the story and the end of the story as I don’t want to spoil your mood but IT IS A MUST WATCH!! Go and see in theater NO PIRACY!
