In 1952, K.G.Jadav won wrestling Bronze for India. After him only Karnam Malleswari and Leander Peas won Bronze for India in Weight Lifting and Tennis respectively.

Basically, resident of a village near Najafgarh, near Delhi, Sushil has won the medal in 66 KG category against Sprinidov from Kazakistan.
