Vijendra Singh Won Olympics Bronze in Boxing

Congratulations Vijendra Singh for making us proud once more in Olympics this time. He won Bronze Medal Boxing in Beijing Olympics 2008.
After Abhinav Bindra (Gold in Shooting) and Sushil kumar (Bronze in Wrestling), Vijendra won the third medal for India.
Basically resident of Kaluwas village, 5 km from Bhiwani, Haryana, Sushil has gurentted the medal in 75 KG category against Carlos Góngora from Ecuador on 20th August. Unfortunalty he lost his semi final against Emilio from Cuba on 22nd Aug 2008. But nevertheless, he has won another medal for India!!
This time these players have given hope that in India, people will start thinking beyond Cricket now.

Sushil Kumar Won Bronze in Wresling For India!!

Another big delight for India came just few moments ago in form of wresling as Sushil Kumar from India won a bronze medal. Lets give this Son of our Nation a great round of applause!! This is fourth Individual Bronze medal in Indian Olympic History.
In 1952, K.G.Jadav won wrestling Bronze for India. After him only Karnam Malleswari and Leander Peas won Bronze for India in Weight Lifting and Tennis respectively.
Basically, resident of a village near Najafgarh, near Delhi, Sushil has won the medal in 66 KG category against Sprinidov from Kazakistan.
Score: 2-1, 1-1, 1-0 in a three round match.

Congrats Abhinav Bindra
Written by Anurag Bhateja on August 11, 2008 – 10:31 am -After 28 years wait ABHINAV BINDRA shooting champion from India won GOLD in 10 M Air Rifel in Beijing Olympics. Abhinav was born on 28th Sept 1982 (Wow we share same birth month!!!). Till date he had won 6 golds in different events. Besides sports he is running a firm named Abhinav Futuristics in Chandigarh. Abhinav Bindra won the gold for the Men’s 10m Air Rifle final after shooting a total of 700.5, thus becoming the first Indian individual gold medallist at the Olympics. He scored 596 (fourth) in the qualifying round and out-scored all other shooters in the finals with a round of 104.5.
P.S. In Olympics History of 104 years this is first time Indian National Anthem Jana Gana Mana is played for an individual Gold!!!!
