The Thirty Buggy Day – Day 1
Written by Anurag Bhateja on September 25, 2009 – 12:48 pm -
What can I say, delighted, happy, proud of walking so much
hehe. Anyway, let me describe the whole experience. i woke up at 7:00 AM as I was aware of the fact that going early to click bugs will result in ZERO output as there will not be enough light. I reached at Fragrance Garden sector 36 Chandigarh at around 8:15 AM and got my camera out set it according to the light conditions. I remember days when I mess myself a lot to get the proper setting for manual mode but as per now, practice has give me 10% confidence on my light calculations. Rest 90% will come as I go further with more and more self assignments after these 30 days.
When I entered the garden, I saw SO many people there which made me a little conscious but as I moved further looking for my subject, I almost forgot about the presence of “humans” there hehe. The first group of bugs which I came across were super sensitive. I am saying this because if I even move a single step they all fly together and then suddenly hide in the bushes so perfectly that I was not able to see them. After banging my head finding these little champs, I gave up and moved forward.
As I kept on moving on the side trail of the park, I came across one garden lizard, few ants, some common bugs and lot of people looking curiously on my work. As I am not going to be on the same place tomorrow, I didn’t even bother to look at them
.
When I reached to the end of the park, I was empty handed with very little shots. A bit disappointed at tired like anything, I decided to come back. While on back trail, I found the delight which included dragonflies, butterflies, jewel beetle, wasp ( missed the shot). Happy and delighted, I came back home after completing the first day of my assignment. The day was a lesson for me as I thought these bugs are becoming a bit friendly to me but they flew very quickly.
Hoping for the best for the second day, I am closing the post ![]()

Self Portrait
Written by Anurag Bhateja on May 15, 2009 – 11:12 am -
Self Portrait, originally uploaded by Anurag “Is busy!”.
This is first trial of self portrait in natural light. I have used the sun light coming from door. Here the texture of grey lines is the steel jaali attached to the door.
As a first trial I am not sure if it came out according to the requirement in my mind but I am sure about one thing that I am going to continue this self portrait for now on.
The next experiment will be with a little look change which I am planning for today and I am too scared of mom because she is gonna kill me definitely for the thing I am going to do hehe.

My New Year Resolution
Written by Anurag Bhateja on December 26, 2008 – 9:31 am -Well well… One more disturbing year is coming to an end and I am really feeling that this year should not get repeated. There is not even a single field in which I did not feel that I am not having problem. Either it is family or business almost everything got screwed. But some of the things really made me feel good.
1. I got some really good clients including Can Asia, OCCS, Forte Realtors and some other.
2. Started taking photography seriously whose result I will publish on 29th Dec 2008. ![]()
3. Mom shifted to Chandigarh!!! Woopie!
4. My Graduation got completed in one go! Man it was hard to do business and studies all together ![]()
5. Became Financial Consultant under HDFC Standard Life.
6. Made few new resellers under my firm which I will discuss in some other post.
7. Made some new friends in field of photography and hey I am getting noticed by people now
. Its fun to listen to people who love your work hehe.
Now as the year is almost finished, I want to check if I can do what I want to so I am making a public “New Year Resolution”.
1. I will keep my spirit of assignments and will try to participate in as many new year contests as I can. (Do you know about anything about websites where photography competitions/contests are held? If yes, its a humble request to let me know.)
2. I will concentrate on domain and hosting business. (Development sometimes sucks as many people don’t want to pay on time, so I will take limited orders only.)
3. I will promote my blog as much as I can and will set target for subscriptions and visitors every month so that I can increase my online presence.
4. I will try my level best to get my financial status on track in first three months of 2009.
5. I will try not to get indulge in any kind of stupid stuff like some partnership or something. Some people really disappointed me in 2008.
6. I will not allow anyone to control my business as some tried this year. (Hehe they are going to get a kick in their ass soon in this year. Beware you!)
7. I will buy a Car by end of this year! Well this is dream and I know dreams come true ![]()
8. I will buy a new DSLR and by God that will be GOOD ONE.
9. Last but not least I will loose the extra pounds on me hehe.
