Now a days, many of the professionals love to use email accounts which are selfhosted e.g. mailID@yourdomain.com or you can say mailme@anuragbhateja.com . This is a very useful feature fo those who want to promote their name in every possible way.

Once you have registered a domain name and got hosting for it, you can simply create the mail ID via cpanel. Make sure your service provider do not host the domain as addon domain as in that case you have to rely on him for the creation of mail IDs.

Now just follow the following steps to create a mail ID in cpanel:

1. Login to your cpanel by going to http://yourdomain.com/cpanel
2. Go to Email Accounts under Email.
Click on Email Accounts Under Email
3. Fill in the simple form and you are done! Please make sure that you leave the quota box empty if you are using on webmail just for yourself. Leaving it blank will reduce the chance of bounce back of mails.
Fill the form as shown to create email account
4. Click on “Create”.

You can also configure the mails in Yahoo Mail pop3 system or Gmail Pop3 system if you do prefer to configure in outlook or do not want to consume your webspace.
