Create Email Backup In Outlook/Windows Live Mail
Written by Anurag Bhateja on July 13, 2009 – 10:43 pm -Mail backup for just sake of backup or to transfer mails from one computer to another is a real time hectic job. Normally people just export the mails from file >> Export option but there is much easy way. When you learn computer, if your teacher is good and know sometimes small things help a lot, s/he would have tough you about drag and drop option which makes copying files from one folder to another very easy.
Now, the same method can be used for taking backup of mails. The mails will be saved as different files with .eml extension. Please have a look on the video and follow the following steps.
1. Open windows live mail / outlook express.
2. Create a new folder for back up.
3. Just drag the mails you want to take backup of in the newly made folder and drop them there.
4. When you want the backup to be stored in new system’s inbox or reinstalled mail client, just reverse the drag drop
