PAA – A Movie Preview

PAA, a movie which will create a new standard in Indian Film Industry. A movie which is reintroducing Amitabh Bachchan in a very new and amazing looking role. A movie which may change the thoughts of people for those children who are suffering from “Progeria”.
Lets see what is this Progeria. This is one of the rarest genetic disorder. As reports says, there are only 85 reported cases of this disease. There is no known cue for this disorder. In Progeria, the signs of older age is visible at very young age. Though the outer body shows signs of aging, internal parts of the body especially sexual organs show no or almost negligible growth. The average lifetime of such Children is between 13-20.
Now, as far as I can see through the promos and other material available about the movie, Amitabh Bachchan is doing such a big experiment with his looks for the first time in his lifetime. As you can see in the above image, Amitabh Bachchan is totally unrecognizable. As per reports, even Amitabh Bachchan was amazed to see the kid “Auro” in mirror.
For AB it is famous that he behaves according to the scene on the sets also and while doing the movie, that energetic oldie Angry Young Man was full of energy and was full of fun. Abhishek Bachchan, who is playing father of Amitabh Bachchan in the film can be seen promoting the movie along with co-star Vidya Balan, who is playing the role of Mother in the movie but AB is absent from press conferences.
Talking about the marketing strategy of the movie, I was amazed and too happy to see that the Indian Film Industry is understanding the power of Internet and if you visit the official website of the movie, you will find links to Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Flickr and Orkut. All major social networks covered!
The best part of the promotional strategy is the availability of the content free of cost for all the bloggers and other website owners with a small condition of copyright and link back. I do not think it is a wrong step. In this way, they are building a huge set of link backs and making people post about the movie as much as best as they can. When I saw the message on facebook page that I can use the content from the website, I thought I misunderstood something and left a message for the owner of the Facebook page to clarify and to the best they replied in a very short span of time and said that I can use the content.
Now, when the release date of the movie is very near, I am very curious to see what would be the story. As some people are saying that the movie is a copy of an Hollywood film which I totally disagree as the movie made in Hollywood was a comedy movie and Paa is no where near to a comedy movie. I really do not understand why some Indians always say bad words about India and Indian Film Industry. Anyway, let those live happy with their Hollywood love.
